The South Fidalgo Subarea Plan meeting scheduled for the evening of Wedesday, January 10 has been cancelled, due to severe winter weather.

As of 4:00 pm, Tuesday the 9th, high winds across Skagit County had knocked out power to many rural areas, including the Lindgren Hall facility near Rosario Beach where the meeting was to be held. Though the most severe conditions were projected to be gone by Wednesday afternoon, the threat of dangerous travelling conditions led County representatives to cancel the event and provide participants more advance notice.

The same meeting had also been scheduled for November 29th, but heavy snowfall forced cancellation and rescheduling following the year-end holiday season.

Notice on a new date and meeting place will be posted on this website, and on the County’s home page as soon as it becomes available. E-mail notices will also be sent to subscribers providing an address using the project sign-up list service found in the right-hand column of this page.
