The next meeting regarding the South Fidalgo Subarea Plan will be held on April 17, beginning at 6:00 pm at Walla Walla College Marine Station’s Lindgren Hall, 15510 Rosario Beach Road.
The meeting will present the County’s revised approach to complete the plan, in response to comments voiced at the previous public meeting, held February 8. The presentation will include details on how the County will conduct a thorough, two-stage evaluation of the island’s soils and drainage capacity – identified as a leading issue by residents – and will also identify other issues that can be carried in advance of the drainage study. A process to evaluate and establish direction on those issues will also be outlined by officials and project consultants.
